		<description>&lt;p&gt;protein interactions (PPI) are essentials for cell signals transduction. Many approaches exist to study PPI in vitro, but intracellular detection methods are limited. We developed, thanks to Nanoluciferase, different technologies as NanoBRET or NanoLuc&#174; Binary Technology NanoBiT, an in vivo complementation system using 2 sub-units named Large BiT (LgBiT, 18kDa) and Small BiT (SmBiT, 11 amino acids) expressed in fusion with protein of interest for PPI study.&lt;br class='autobr' /&gt;
Technical aspects, advantages and applications (as real-time study of PPI) of these tools will be presented.&lt;/p&gt;

		<description>&lt;p&gt;The post-transcriptional addition of nucleotides impacts function and fate of RNAs in all organisms. In recent years, uridylation emerges as a key modification promoting mRNA degradation in eukaryotes. Yet, we are just beginning to understand the exact roles of uridylation in the degradation process. mRNA uridylation can favor both 5'-3' and 3'-5' degradation through the recruitments of distinct RNA decay factors. In addition, uridylation prevents the accumulation of excessively deadenylated mRNAs in Arabidopsis. To obtain a global view of mRNA 3' end modifications, we deep-sequenced the 3' fragments of mRNAs using TAIL-seq, a method recently developed by the Narry Kim's lab. This analysis revealed the prevalence of mRNA uridylation in Arabidopsis and the occurrence of mRNA cytidylation and guanylation at lower frequencies. Interestingly, uridylation of mRNAs by distinct Terminal Uridylyl Transferases (TUTases) seems to differentially affect mRNA's fate. The complexity of mRNA uridylation and its emerging roles will be discussed.&lt;/p&gt;

		<description>&lt;p&gt;Evolutionary biologists have entertained different perspectives regarding the importance of historical contingency in adaptive evolution. To some extent, these perspectives boil down to whether the context-dependent effects of mutations meaningfully influence evolutionary trajectories. Because the fitnesses of genotypes intimately depend on the form of the environment, environmental change may set the stage for historical contingency. In this talk, I will discuss how the rate and form of environmental change can affect evolutionary trajectories. I will share results from experiments with microbes and digital organisms that explore contingency under changing conditions. In the process, I will touch on how our findings relate to some pressing anthropogenic problems, such as climate change and the rise of antibiotic resistance. These experiments not only suggest that context-dependent effects of mutations can impact the course of adaptive evolution, but also may highlight under-appreciated areas of focus with regard to addressing current societal problems.&lt;/p&gt;
