Post-doctoral position in mRNA biology

"mRNA packaging and subcellular localization"

A postdoctoral position is available in the Functional Genomics section of Institut de Biologie de l’ENS in Paris, France.

The team investigates RNA binding proteins (RBPs) and RNA-protein complexes that dictate the destiny of messenger RNAs, notably their quality control, their intracellular transport and their localized translation in different eukaryotic cellular models (https://www.ibens.ens.fr/?rubrique42&lang=en).
We have recently shown that the Exon Junction Complex dependent RNA localization is linked to centrosome organization during ciliogenesis (https://doi.org/10.1038/s41467-021-21590-w).
Multiple experimental approaches are developed in our group, from biochemistry to single molecule biophysics, molecular and cellular biology as well as transcriptomics.

Applicants are expected to have an interest in the molecular and functional characterization of RNA binding proteins and the metabolism of mRNAs. A background in biochemistry, molecular and cellular genetics with an expertise in RNA biology will be appreciated. The position is open for two years with possible extension. Expected starting date during spring-summer 2022.

Applications should include a detailed curriculum vitae, a description of current projects and career goals as well as contact information of three references and sent to : Hervé Le Hir
